Senior Buyer – Commercial Industrial Products
Based in Saint John, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for assessing the requirements of the Industrial division and purchasing the required materials, receiving quotations, consulting with suppliers, reviewing quotations, negotiating contract terms and conditions, recommending contract awards and dealing with suppliers to resolve problems. Critical to success, this individual must be able to identify and exploit business opportunities.
The candidate should possess a bachelor's degree and/or college diploma in business or have equivalent experience in Purchasing. A Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.) designation would be considered an asset. You must be analytical, logical, and computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills.
